| Review summary: BDSM Bang doesn't live up to its name. There is not enough focus on actual BDSM, but rather sex with a fetish twist. There is a limited amount of content here and video and picture quality is average. The tour looks attractive enough, although I do wish we could sample a movie or pictures. When you click on any of the tour pictures, you're directed to the sign up page. I hope there's more care put into their members' area than there is on the tour.
You first enter into the bonus network, but you can quickly find BDSM Bang. The first thing I noticed when I entered were the words "Description coming soon!" on three of the last updates, which spans almost a month in time. I then check out all the content within this site, and the "coming soon" description is listed on a lot of the updates all the way back until August. I'm a little puzzled as to why this site isn't given any attention by its webmasters. From what I understand, they had "major issues with [their] content providers. We have secured content for the whole of this year and for the start of 2009." Additionally, there is the note at the top of the home page: "We are doing some upgrades, so the site might not run as smooth. Please forgive us for any inconveniences." I can understand there may be problems with content or being in the process of upgrading, but there is no excuse for putting up content and not writing descriptions for what they do have.
There are almost 20 movies and almost 20 pictures sets. There are usually two updates a week. I'm a little concerned about a big gap of no updates - between October 10 to January 20th. There was another big gap of no updates between June 13th and August 11th. This is probably where the content provider issues occurred.
For Windows Media, the videos open to 320x240 (528 Kbps) screen. I'm disappointed because most other paysites I review, the Windows Media videos open to a much larger screen. AVI videos are in this case the better choice since it comes in a 720x576 size. These look fine, but don't impress. You can stream or download the videos in clips or in their entirety. The small streaming screen totally diminishes my ability to enjoy the videos. The videos usually range around the 20 minute mark.
Since I'm a fan of Jewell Marceau, I watched her sexy cleaning maid video. For some reason, she really annoyed me in this. Her acting was just way too over the top, and she was constantly moaning. But, if you can get past that, you'll enjoy the way the camera ogles her body in her very skimpy maid's outfit. You just can't see it all that well in such a small screen, though. There's nothing I would call bdsm in this video. It's basically Jewell whining about having to clean the kitchen. Some guy off camera keeps telling her she missed a spot. So she pouts, bats her lashes, bends down so you can see her cleavage better, and/or she sticks her butt out so you can see that. At the end, she strips and masturbates. Not very bdsm, in my opinion.
Then I watched Movie #17. I can't give you a description or a title because...well...the paysite hasn't gotten around to caring about what to name their videos. Movie #17 shows a mistress tying up another woman and clothespinning her. Candle wax, spanking, flogging, "hooding," and more rope bondage is shown. Luckily, most of the BDSM Bang movies are bdsm related, like this one.
The pictures vary in size, quality, and quantity. Sizes range from 600x800 to 1023x1536 pixels. The quality ranges from good to blurry and downright awful. There are usually between 50 to over a 100 in each gallery. You can zip download the set or view in a slide show. I'm not sure why you'd want to save any of these because they're just not that good to take up space on your hard drive.
BDSM Bang is a very disappointing site. I think it could be a quality site because some of their movies are unique and fetish-y, but there doesn't seem to be much care put into this site. Content troubles notwithstanding, the rest of the site looks like it's hurriedly put together, with not even the trouble to name movies or give them a one sentence description. The lack of description and title is on a great deal of the videos throughout this site.
The amount of content in here is paltry as well, so it's not worth the price of admission. With the wide variety of quality and cared for BDSM sites out there, you'd be wasting your money purchasing a membership here. Hopefully, they'll soon find a webmaster who will spend more than two and a half minutes a week in updating because, as I said, it could be a good site with their "fetish twist."
