| Review summary: Bullettime is a one of a kind website where girls are photographed Matrix-style allowing you to rotate the girl 180 degrees in many different postures. The content is very limited and updates are not all that frequent. But the type of content is unique. |
Erotic art and technology team up in Bullet Time. Paul Servolex says of his site: "This effect (also called 'Smirnoff effect') is, in video, an hyper slow motion effect. That means that you see as the time was stopped or extremely slowed. The name 'Bullet time effect' comes from the Matrix movie." These special sets were added April 24, May 8, May 12, and May 31, 2007.
Navigation is simple in Bullet Time because there really is no menu. Only four models are shown in 420x250 pictures, with some tiny thumbnails. Each of these models has her own "room," where you'll see her photo set come to life. Beneath these four models are two photos of what's "Coming this summer." Unfortunately, this is late-August, and they're not available.
Each of the four models has either 3,000 or 4,000 pictures, but these are not laid out in the typical photo set gallery. All those photos comprise the turn table and 3D effect. Photos can be viewed in Stereo Anaglyph, HD 800 (800x800), and HD 1000 (1000x1000). The photos are clear quality in HD. I was puzzled as to why the Stereo Anaglyph photos were of poor quality. Then I read in the introduction to this site that these "images provide a stereoscopic 3D effect, when viewed with 2 color glasses (each lens a different color, one red and one blue or cyan)." This then creates the 3D images. Wow! Well, I wish I had some 3D glasses, because I imagine these images are awesome to see since the HD photos are good as they are!
There are backward and forward arrows, as well as a stop option, while you view each model's scene. The photos are a bit blurry, but not too bad, while you're turning the action.
When you stop turning, just wait for the photo to unblur or press the stop option, and BAM!
The crystal clear quality of the photos is revealed. I didn't see any zip download of these photos. If you want to keep any of the photos, you need to click on the HD options when you get a view you like and then save to your computer.
Clicking on the "Back home" link at the bottom of each room takes you back to the introductory page, so just use your back browser button a couple times, and you'll return to the main member page.
There are no videos on Bullet Time.
Bullet Time is indeed a unique concept. The quality of the photos is clear, and in many ways, it seems like you're in the room walking around the model. It's pretty cool seeing the shadows on the wall. Wow! The only problem about this site is that it's new, so there's not much content in there. Plus, I'm not sure if it's going to be regularly updated.
This summer's two new models haven't been made available yet; it's late-August when this review is being written. I dearly hope the site will be updated soon and regularly, because it's an amazing concept with incredible photography. A word of advice: Make sure you get those funky 3D "glasses" to thoroughly enjoy Bullet Time because they promise 3D quality!
